One UK vendor believes these were standard fitment on a lot of 1950s specialist sports and racing cars and used in competition cars such as BMC Minis, Lotus Cortinas and the like. This is a good quality reproduction of the Lucas driving/fog/spotlamp bulb holder or plate contact assembly that fits the Lucas SFT576, SLR576, WFT576 and WLR576 lamps. This style horn was used in most British cars of the 1960s, and 1970s including MGB, MG Midget and 1100, Triumph TR4, TR250, TR6, TR7, Spitfire, later Austin-Healey 3000, Jaguar E-type, late Mark 2 and X, Land Rovers, and practically every other 12 Volt British car of the period. This is a nicely made reproduction of the original Lucas 31126 switch used on many British cars of the 1950's and 1960's including the Austin-Healey 100 & 3000 to BJ7, MGA, MG TF, and Triumph TR2 & TR3. It controls the side, tail and head lamps. Terminals are brass as original. Knobs are available by special order.
