These beautiful lamps are the famous 5.76-inch Lucas 576 driving or spotlamps, sometimes known as "Flamethrowers." They are the lamps that won the Monte Carlo rally when used on Minis, provided elegant illumination on Rolls-Royce Silver Clouds and Jaguar XK 140 and 150, Mark I, Mark VIIM, VIII and IX, and dressed up the front of Austin-Healeys, Triumph TR2-3-4-5-250, MGA, MGB, Magnette, MG TD and TF, and so many other British cars. They were sold as options on many of these cars, and thousands were sold as accessory lamps in the 1950s through 1970s.
These are new Lucas production, imported from England, beautifully made and correct. They have ENGLAND cast into the thick glass lenses and LUCAS on the crest (top motif). They are truly show quality, brand new in red and black Lucas boxes, with new bulbs. Our competitors sell these identical lamps for $500 per pair, same boxes, exactly the same lamps.
NOS yellow and new LED bulbs are available at extra cost.
We have many pairs of original lamps as well, ranging from about $125 for a pair with plenty of patina to upwards of $650 for a perfect New Old Stock (NOS) pair in the original LUCAS boxes. We also have related parts, including lenses, bulbs, brackets, switches and switch panels. Please see Related Products below or contact us.
