Most older British cars did not come equipped with headlamp relays. The advantage of a relay is that much more current gets to the lamps, meaning much brighter lighting, as well as a greatly reduced current draw through the lighting switch, so the switch will last a lot longer. We strongly recommend this kit for any British car built before about 1980. This is a used original headlamp switch or lighting switch for an MGA, Morris Minor or other British car using a two-position push-pull type switch. It has been tested and is guaranteed to work. This is our last 7-inch right hand drive (RHD) Lucas sealed beam headlamp/headlight.  It has a light socket in the back for an extra light. These were fitted to most British cars of the 1960s through early 1980s with twin 7-inch round headlamps. This is set up for right-hand-drive cars, that is, it dips to the left on the low beam.
