Headlamps

This is a pair of original Lucas F700 headlamps, as used on many thousands of British cars in the 1950s and 1960s.This pair is refurbished, cleaned and painted and repaired as needed. The reflective surfaces are excellent, the glass is clean and without cracks or chips and the bulbs are new. This is a pair of genuine new Lucas 7-inch three-adjuster headlamp bowls/buckets, complete with adjusters and chrome inner and outer retaining rings.  Dust seals for the headlamp rims and rubber gaskets are also included. These are correct for most British cars of the 1950s with 7-inch headlamps. They will also work just fine with later cars, from the 1960s through the 1980s, which had two-adjuster bowls. It must be admitted that these are not as fine as the original Lucas headlamp bowls....

The Jaguar XK120 was fitted with unique chrome outer headlamp rims. Other Jaguars used similar rims, but these are the correct slender rims used on the XK120. Earlier and home-market XK120s had 7.7-inch headlamps, while later cars were fitted with a more standard 7-inch lamp, but both types used the same outer chrome rim. This pair is in very good original condition, with nice motifs at the top and bottom. There are some minor scuffs to the chrome but no pitting. There are no dents in these....

This is an excellent rare pair of original used Lucas headlamp rims for Jaguar XK140, XK150, Mark VIII and Mark IX (Mk. VIII and Mk. IX). They are in good clean original condition, not perfect, just good usable and fine for a driver quality restoration. These are lovely modern reproductions of the headlamps that were used on Jaguars of the 1950s with twin 7-inch headlamps. (Early XK120s had 7.7-inch headlamps, and will not accommodate the J lamp.) These are newly-made genuine Lucas H4 7-inch round convex headlamps with new halogen Lucas P43 (60/55W) bulbs, imported from England, but no longer supplied in green and white Lucas boxes. This is a nice pair of original headlamp retaining rims for a Jaguar Mark VII. This is the outer chrome rim, also called a headlight "door." The chrome is good, but not perfect, a little dull. The rims are in good shape, not dented except for a small are which could easily be straightened.
