This is a pair of original Lucas F700 headlamps, as used on many thousands of British cars in the 1950s and 1960s.
This pair is refurbished, cleaned and painted and repaired as needed. The reflective surfaces are excellent, the glass is clean and without cracks or chips and the bulbs are new. They come with a pair of bulb adapters so they can be used with standard sealed-beam electrical connectors, as used on US-market cars and everything made in the 1960s and 1970s.
Examples of cars these will fit include: MGA, MGB, Midget, MG Magnette, Austin A40, A70, A90, A95, Morris Minor, Oxford, Triumph TR2, TR3, TR10, Jaguar MK I, MK 2, E-type, 3.8S, 420, Austin-Healey 100/4, 100/6, 3000, Sprite, Land-Rover, Rover, Humber, Alvis, Sunbeam, Hillman, Singer, and just about any other British car of the fifties, sixties or seventies which is equipped with two seven-inch headlamps.
These are for right hand drive cars, which means the low beam dips to the left. No big deal, as they won't blind any oncoming drivers, especially these days when cars have ultra-bright lights (you have noticed this, right?) and your electrical system is powered by a 20-amp Lucas generator. No offense intended; we have the same system on our old British cars, and it works okay but doesn't blind anybody.
We also have ONE pair of LHD lamps like these in stock as well. Please contact us if you want those.
This is an original pair or headlamps, better than the new reproduction parts available today.
They use standard Lucas-type P36 BPF British Prefocus bulbs. Bulbs and bulb adapters are included, so they will plug directly in to your sealed-beam wiring harness. Halogen bulbs are available at extra cost.
