This is brand new, correct oil and water gauge for an Austin-Healey Sprite or MG Midget from about 1958 to 1979. The lettering style on the face is correct for 1968 and later cars, although this gauge is otherwise very similar to the earlier style, and it will work in any Sprite or Midget, regardless of year.
It comes complete with bracket and grommet for the firewall. This gauge is the standard 2-inch (52 mm) small British gauge size. It is manufactured by Caerbont, the company which took over the Smiths plant some years ago, so it was made on the original tooling, in the same factory that the original instruments were made in.
