This is a used original Lucas L494 Reverse Lamp, which were available as an accessory lamp and commonly fitted to British cars of the 1950's and 60's, including works Healeys and Minis. They were popular accessories for cars which did not come equipped with backup or reverse lamps. They were also popular as upgrades where a brighter reversing lamp was required. Found at an autojumble in England, this is an ultra-rare Lucas reverse lamp set, complete with a pair of L539 lamps, wiring, rare white illuminated push-pull switch, fitting instructions, even a bag of connectors for the wiring, and all packaged in a great display box and marked, "4-65" as date of manufacture. This is a PAIR of brand new L594 beehive lamps (2 3/4" diameter) imported from the UK. The L594 beehive lamp was used on a great many British cars, including MGA, Triumph TR2, TR3, TR4, Austin-Healey 100 and 3000, Bugeye Sprite, Mini, Land Rover, Morris Minor, Austin and Morgan, among others. This is a very rare pair of Amber and Clear L632 lenses with rims, correct for MGA 1600 and 1600 Mk II, later Morris Minor, Mini Moke, Austin Cambridge, Morris Oxford, and many other British cars of the late 1950s and 1960s. This is a pair of Lucas L632 front parking and turn lamps, correct for many British cars, including MGA 1600, 1600 Mk II, late Twin Cam, Austin A40, Austin Cambridge, Morris Oxford, Morris Minor, Mini Moke, MG 1100, and many others.They are really nice secondhand lamps, cleaned and Hammerite painted, with LUCAS L632 stamped on the bases. These new rear lamps come complete with pigtails, gaskets and bulbs and are every bit as nice as the originals.  Regrettably, however, they no longer carry LUCAS markings. They are correct for Mark I Minis (1959-67) and MGA 1600 Mark II. These have amber lenses for the turn indicator lamps, but we can supply them with a red lens for no extra charge. Lucas Square 8 foglamps are rare, especially NOS lamps with YELLOW lenses. They are in perfect, unmarked condition but with no original packaging remaining. We have a set of original NOS plastic covers to fit these lamps if you are interested.This pair does not have pedestals on the bottom.
