This is a new reproduction Lucas L494 reverse lamp. They were popular accessories for cars which did not come equipped with backup or reverse lamps. They were also popular as upgrades where a brighter reversing lamp was required. These lamps were sold as a factory option on the Triumph TR2 and TR3, and they look great on an MGA, MGB, Midget, Austin-Healey 100 or 3000 or Bugeye Sprite.
This reproduction lamp is beautifully made and mirror-plated and polished, a really superb part. The lens is correctly marked LUCAS in the center and MADE IN ENGLAND in embossed letters on the bottom.
This lamp is also available with a red lens for an additional $15.
