This hydraulic switch is the right one for just about every British car made in the 1940s, 1950s, and early 1960s, including MGA, Triumph TR3, TR4, MGB, and Healey. It is also the correct switch for early Volvos, possibly Alfa-Romeos, and other cars. It has a 1/8" pipe thread and is pretty close to a universal switch. This is a new reproduction long-neck Lucas battery cutout switch. It is nicely made and in perfect, new condition. It is similar to the type of switch used on Austin-Healey 100-4, 100-6 and 3000 and some Aston Martins. It would be a great addition for any older car for which you might want antitheft protection or isolation to reduce the likelihood of electrical fires during storage.

Super rare Original NOS Lucas battery terminal shutoff switch. One UK vendor believes these were standard fitment on a lot of 1950s specialist sports and racing cars and used in competition cars such as BMC Minis, Lotus Cortinas and the like. This is a new Lucas British Prefocus (BPF) or P36 base (12V, 45W) foglamp bulb in a new green Lucas box, correct for SFT576, SFT700 or Fogranger lamps. It has a horizontal filament, which throws a flat beam, correct for a foglamp, although it would fit in driving or spot lamp as well.
