These driving and spotlamps are similar to our 5 3/4-inch SLR 576 stem-mount lamps, but these mount from the rear, not the bottom. This is a so-called "Owl-Eye" lighter, so named for its illuminated golden ring that guides the lighter back into its socket in low-light conditions. These were used on British cars of the late 1960s and 1970s, including MGB, MG Midget, Triumph TR6, Spitfire, Jaguar E-type Series II and III, Mini, and many others. This is an upgraded, fully electronic brand new 12 volt Lucas RF95 regulator, as used on MG TC, Jaguar XK120, Alvis and other quality cars of the 1940s and 1950s.
