This is a pair of excellent original Lucas Square Eight fog lamps. They are genuine Lucas, probably made in the 1970s. They are in superb original condition, with very minor scuffing on the chrome, no dents on the housings. The glass lenses (marked FOREIGN GLASS) and reflectors are excellent and the wiring pigtails are intact and in good condition. They come with nice original plastic Lucas-marked covers.
Lucas FT8 fog lamps were a very popular accessory lamp in the 1960s through the 1980s. Many manufacturers, including Jaguar, Rolls-Royce, Rover, Reliant and others offered these lamps or the LR8 driving lamp version as factory fitments to their cars. They were indeed a modern version of the classic Lucas accessory lamp, with well-designed lenses and H3 halogen bulbs (which are still sold today at most auto parts stores).
