This is a genuine new old stock (NOS) Lucas cap, in new condition, but there may be some dust, scratches from long-term storage and so on, but no cracks or chips. New old stock original caps like this are very hard to find. We have a very limited stock of NOS Lucas items we buy when we can find them, but supplies are obviously not certain.
PLEASE NOTE! The Triumphs used a very similar cap to the one in the pictures, but the wires are offset by 90 degrees as compared to the more common one used on BMC cars. We do have ONE NORS Triumph cap in stock in a separate listing; see Related Products below.
New manufacture distributor caps are cheap, but they are made of very thin plastic and simply don't measure up to the original bakelite items like this one.
