This is a very rare original Lucas black steel-body ignition coil, as used on Jaguar XK120, MG TC, Riley, Rover and many other British cars of the 1940s and 1950s. It is in excellent original condition and tests out fine on the bench, producing a spark reliably.
These coils have not been manufactured for over sixty years and have become very hard to find. Reproductions of this type are not available from any source we know of.
