This is a 1950 Jaguar XK120 roadster, or open two-seater.
It was purchased decades ago in California as a non-running project, and is now being sold on behalf of the estate of the gentleman who purchased it. We believe it has always been a dry west coast car, but it has been stored outdoors in the Arizona sun for a long time.
The car is in need of total restoration but it is largely complete and, for the most part, very solid, with straight sheetmetal. The bodywork is complete and intact. The engine is original to the car, W2111-8, and the block and head both bear this number. Carburetors and linkage are correct and complete. Water pump, distributor, rare early crankshaft, front pulley and flywheel, early 8-stud cam covers, manifolds, six-blade original fan, brakes with controls and reservoir, hubcaps and miscellaneous boxes of parts are correct and included in the sale. The gearbox is complete, correct and intact and its numbers are close to the original, but it is not the original. Suspension, steering, four wheels (there is a fifth wheel included but it is not a Jaguar wheel, although it fits the car), all instruments and switches, bumpers and brackets, convertible top frame, starter and Special Equipment generator, horns, relays, all lights and fixtures, an excellent grille and taillamp housings, and many other parts not in this list, are all correct for an early XK120 roadster and are included in this sale, as the pictures show.
Also included in the sale is a box containing most of the new rubbers that will be needed to complete the car.
There is a clear title.
We can help load the car onto your transporter. The tires hold air, although they are very old and cracked.
The car is in southern Arizona but we can arrange transportation anywhere in the free world.
