This wonderful kit from Moss Motors comes with everything you will need to convert your Triumph TR2, TR3, TR3A, TR3B, TR4 or TR4A from a generator to a modern alternator charging system. Why, you could even use it to convert a Standard Vanguard or a Ferguson tractor, as they all use a similar Standard Triumph block. This kit accepts the wide or skinny belts and pulleys that already exist on your car. A custom mounting bracket is included.
The Lucas alternator included is brand new. Also included is an alternator fan and a terminal kit for the wire leads to the alternator. You will need to use the pulley from your existing generator, or we can provide one on request. Switching to negative ground is a must for this conversion. Detailed instructions are provided.
Note: A LED bulb should not be used for the red generator/alternator light on the dash. Using one may cause a faulty charging system.
