This is a NEW OLD STOCK (NOS) British Prefocus (BPF) or P36 base (12V, 45W) TUNGSTEN driving/spotlamp bulb. It is correct for SLR576, SLR700 and Spot Ranger lamps. These have a vertical filament, which throws a conical beam, correct for a driving lamp, although they fit in foglamps as well. These lovely 7-inch driving and spotlamps were used on many British cars during the late 1940s and 1950s, including Jaguar XK120, Bristol, Bentley, and others. This is a new reproduction lens-reflector unit that fits into the chrome back of a Lucas SLR576 Flamethrower lamp. It will fit perfectly into an original back and it will also fit many reproduction backs. "TOP" appears at the top of the glass; there are no other inscriptions on the unit. This is pair of excellent original Lucas SFT576 fog lamps. They are genuine Lucas, probably made in the 1960s. Lucas fog lamps had date stamps until about 1965, so these are definitely from the later sixties. They are in superb original condition, with very minor scuffing on the chrome, but from two feet away, they look like new.
