Here we have an original forged alloy kickstand from a 1950s English 3-speed bicycle, adorned with the Sir Walter Raleigh logo, depicting Sir Walter laying his cloak down over the mud puddle for Queen Bess to step over. This is the one to have, sought after by fans of English roadsters and Sports bicycles. These stands are rugged, stylish and lightweight. This one is in really nice original condition, with very few scrapes and other defects. The pin is tight, with no noticeable wear, and it operates smoothly. The original Whitworth bolt is in excellent shape as well, along with the top wedge.
These were fitted to Raleigh, Rudge, Humber, Robin Hood and many other bicycles that were built by Raleigh, as well as bikes made by the Phillips/ TI concern, including Dunelt, Phillips, Indian and many others.
