New distributor caps for older British cars are cheap. We sell new repro ones for $20 each. But they are made of very thin plastic and simply don't measure up to the original bakelite items like this one.
It is a genuine new old stock Lucas cap, in new condition, but there may be some dust, scratches from long-term storage and so on, but no cracks or chips. New old stock original caps like this are very hard to find. We have a very limited stock of NOS Lucas items we buy when we can find them, but supplies are obviously not certain.
