This is an original pair of Lucas SLR576 driving lamps with excellent chrome backs, very good reflectors with minimal corrosion and nice glass lenses, marked "LUCAS" in the centers (most 576 lamps did NOT have this marking). There is some wear on the housings, but it's not bad at all, and the chrome does shine nicely.
Lucas SLR576 spot, or driving, lamps were a very popular accessory lamp in the 1950s and 1960s. A great many manufacturers, including Jaguar, Austin, Morris, Rolls-Royce, Bristol, Alvis, Triumph, MG, and many others offered these lamps or the fog version (SFT576) as factory fitments to their cars. Winners of the great Monte Carlo rallies often equipped their cars with these excellent lamps, and they became known as "Flamethrowers."
We have many other 576 lamps, including two grades of reproductions, so please have a look elsewhere on this website.
