The compact Daimler 2 1/2 and 250 saloons, featuring the wonderful 2 1/2 litre V8 Daimer engine in a Jaguar Mark 2 body, came equipped with a comprehensive tool kit from the factory. This is a very good original kit for a Daimler, missing a few pieces, but substantially original and correct.
Included in this kit are the following:
The small adjustable spanner, marked DAIMLER on one side and BAHCO on the other; the brake bleeder tube tin; and the feeler gauge.
The tire gauge is a Dunlop #6. We are not sure if Daimler kits ever had different gauges, as the Jag kits did, but the latter had JAGUAR logo or "6J" inscription.
Three open-end Daimler spaners. There should be four.
Reproduction JAGUAR screwdriver, should be marked DAIMLER.
British Champion spark plug with original cardboard sleeve.
Lucas distributor feeler gauge/screwdriver.
Reproduction jack ratchet handle.
Spark plug spanner and tommy bar.
TW British made pliers. Probably not correct but they fit the kit well and were made in the 1960s.
Correct Tecalemit 3020 grease gun.
Dunlop brake bleeder tube tin. Quality reproduction.
Original plastic tool box, as used from about 1966 to1969. We have earlier wood-and-metal boxes if the buyer prefers.
Daimler tool kits are rare, especially in the US.
