This is the an Intermotor Sports Coil, replacement for the famous Lucas Sports Coil that delivers a much higher voltage than standard ignition coils and therefore a hotter/more powerful spark than a normal coil for quicker starts and, theoretically, better fuel economy. This is a UK-made part, sold here at a more reasonable price than the major suppliers charge. Lucas no longer manufactures Sports Coils.
It comes complete with bracket and fittings for push on or ring terminals. For use with all 12 volt ignition systems, positive or negative ground. No external ballast resistor is required.
