Late 1959 MGA roadster project. This car has been stored indoors for over 30 years. It is a complete 1600 roadster with correct 16GA 1588 engine. The chassis is extremely solid, with no rot holes. The sills and lower wings will need typical rust repair but they are not very bad. The boot floor will need rust repair. All panels are solid and the panel fit is generally very good.
This car will need a full restoration. The engine does not turn over but it's the right one for the car. It has wire wheels and will be supplied with a spare wheel. The tires hold air and it rolls easily.
The pictures tell much of the story, but we invite any inspection of the car. It is complete, as far as we can tell. We do have an original key and the car will be sold with a clean New Hampshire title.
We will help load the car onto a trailer or flatbed and we may deliver within the northeastern United States, depending on how busy the shop is.
We have two other MGA 1600 roadster projects for sale, a disc-wheeled white car in very similar condition to this one but with an MGB engine installed (we can supply a correct 1600 engine instead if the buyer prefers), and a wire-wheel black one which will be sold with a running rebuilt correct engine and gearbox and all new rust repair panels. Both of these cars have very solid chassis and both have excellent solid boot floors.
